Auction the elections to ORG-MARG and IMRB?

Provocative first-cut thoughts!

If you get your statistics right, you can represent the preferences of a population through a survey done by a private agency. In fact, you can have more than one private agency do the survey and then weight them for more accurate results. So IMRB and ORG-MARG can give you the results as good as a mass election. Benefits? It will do away with rigging and huge election costs. Social costs? Puncturing the balloon that everyone voting is equivalent to democracy exercised?

On another note, one of the favourite questions that we asked of noveau free-markeeters who came to us was this. What will be the incentives to have a decennial census if there was no government agency? Who will have the incentive to do it? Any ideas?
